: We love this line. What is the distinction between buttoned and, presumably, not buttoned? I want the item pictured under Clarendon, but I'm not sure at which I'm looking.
: Thanks much!
The buttoned seat Clarendon features the same deep buttoning as the back / arms area. This style is unique to the chesterfield and is a more authentic and traditional style. Due to the extra work involved (and hence the slightly higher cost) the buttoned seat style is quite a rare piece of furniture.
The standard Clarendon chesterfield style features removable cushion seating (as shown in web site: http://www.clubchesterfield.co.uk/leathersofas/clarendon.htm) and is the most popular choice due to its comfort.

Paul.
